Welcome back! I hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday with their families!
The students have been working on writing opinion paragraphs, including:
1. A topic sentence
2. Information sentences explaining their opinion
3. A concluding sentence
Students have also been working on using sentence starters and transition words when writing (such as: "In my opinion", "To begin with", "I think", "Next", "Second", "In conclusion")
For tonight, students have been asked to practice using these to write an opinion paragraph on their favourite holiday. Students should do a rough draft first, to help with their organization.
