Homework for Wednesday, Nov. 15
We have begun identifying angles and measuring them with a protractor. Students are asked to practice this at home in order to hone this skill. Students should first identify the angle as a right angle, acute angle, obtuse angle, or straight angle. They should then estimate the measurement of the angle before measuring. Then students should use their protractors to measure the angle.
I have protractors that I am allowing the students to use for angle measurement, however, they are becoming worn and scratched with time and some students may wish to have their own to use in the classroom. Students will need a compass to use during this unit as well. I encourage students to purchase a math set if they do not already have these tools. The math set should include both a protractor and a compass.
